The first 3 weeks of the 2025 college football season are now in the books, and several teams across the country have already begun to separate themselves from the rest of the pack early on in the chase for a College Football Playoff berth.

The SEC, in particular, has, unsurprisingly, once again proven to be a hotbed of extremely competitive squads, most of which figure to be in the running for a spot in the big dance come December.

ESPN analyst Heather Dinich recently released the latest iteration of her weekly CFP bubble watch, and she had 5 separate SEC teams making the tournament if it were to start tomorrow.

Dinich had the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, Tennessee Volunteers, and Oklahoma Sooners all penciled in to her latest College Football Playoff prediction.

She also had 2 of these teams slotted in as first-round byes, with Georgia coming in as the No. 3 seed and LSU slotting in as the No. 4 seed.

Dinich then has Texas A&M slotted in as the No. 5 seed and taking on the No. 12-seeded South Florida Bulls, Oklahoma at No. 9 taking on No. 8 Penn State, and Tennessee at No. 10 taking on No. 7 Florida State.

There’s obviously a very long way to go before any of this is set in stone, and there’s sure to be a ton of shifting around as the season rolls along, but as of right now, these are probably the most likely SEC squads to make the CFP come season’s end.
