Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has been officially retired for almost 2 full years, but his impact on college football is still being felt every week in multiple ways.
His new occupation as a co-host of College GameDay has kept him in the limelight from week to week since retiring, and it was during the last College GameDay of the season prior to the National Championship that a 6-episode series dedicated to his legendary career was officially announced.
“With my coaching days behind me, Ms. Terry and I have been doing a lot of reflection and realized we were ready to tell our story,” Nick Saban said in an official press release. “The team at Words + Pictures has encouraged me to really look back not just at my time at Alabama, but every stop along the way – and not just reflect on what happened but consider the process which made it happen. I interacted with a lot of players and coaches along the way and I’m happy to see that so many of them have contributed to this docuseries. There’s a lot to tell, and I’m excited to share it all.”
The 6-part series will detail every step of Saban’s historic coaching journey from his time as a Graduate Assistant at Kent State in the early 70s, all the way through his legendary run with the Crimson Tide, and will be released sometime in 2026.
