ESPN announces strong streaming numbers for Georgia-Missouri game on SEC Network

The SEC Network may want another No. 1 team to be taken down to the wire in future weeks.

Georgia was in a world of trouble when it traveled to Columbia to face Missouri at Faurot Field. The Tigers, who had lost 8 straight to the Bulldogs heading into the contest, held a late lead but ultimately saw the Dawgs pull out a win to improve to 5-0, albeit paying the price in the polls as they dropped to No. 2.

From a ratings standpoint, it was one of the most streamed games in SEC Network history.

ESPN on Tuesday released its ratings for Saturday’s contest, stating that it was the SEC Network’s 2nd-most streamed game ever, with only LSU and Texas A&M’s 7-overtime game in 2018 receiving more views. The 854,000 unique viewers were also the most for any game streamed by ESPN’s networks during Week 5.

Not only that, but in terms of minutes watched, Georgia-Missouri logged 31.2 million, the 2nd most of any college football game streamed across the ESPN family that week.
