Arkansas is set to host one of the biggest games in the program’s recent history as Texas is coming to Fayetteville to take on the Razorbacks in 2021.
Now we know when that game will air as ESPN has just announced a few kickoff times for the 2021 season.
The Arkansas-Texas matchup will officially take place on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. CT with the game being televised by ESPN.
This matchup will take place during Week 2 of the season as Arkansas opens the season at home against Rice and Texas opens at home against Louisiana.
The Razorbacks are coming off a 3-7 season in Sam Pittman’s first year running the program while Texas fired Tom Herman after a 7-3 season and replaced him with former Alabama offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian.
Texas holds the all-time edge against Arkansas 56-22. The programs last met in 2014 in the Texas Bowl, a matchup won 31-7 by the Razorbacks.
Bret Bielema famously referred to kneeling out the clock in that game as “borderline erotic” heading into the 2015 season.
