There weren’t many surprises for the top teams in college football during the first full schedule of games this weekend.

Clemson hammered Georgia Tech, Alabama eventually toppled Duke after a slow start, Georgia dominated Vanderbilt and Oklahoma blitzed Houston behind a big game from Jalen Hurts.

After they digested those games, 12 ESPN college football writers released their updated College Football Playoff picks.

Every writer listed Clemson and Alabama in their top four selections, while 11 out of 12 also chose Oklahoma. Georgia was the next most popular with five of the 12 inserting the Bulldogs in the CFP. For clarification, this is how the writers see the playoff field after Week 1, not their projections about how the season will end.

Only Bill Connelly and Heather Dinich put Alabama at No. 1, while Tom VanHaaren was the only one to have Georgia listed above fourth. He had them at No. 3.

Ohio State, Michigan, Texas and Utah also made appearances in the picks.
