The wait for SEC bowl action ends tonight when LSU takes on Texas Tech in The Texas Bowl.
And if you believe ESPN’s Football Power Index, it’s about to be a very successful stretch for the league.
The index has placed the SEC as the favorite in all 10 of the conference’s upcoming bowl games:

Tennessee and Arkansas being strong favorites seems to align itself with the thinking of the odds makers in Las Vegas.
Georgia being such a heavy favorite in the midst of a coaching turnover says more about the status of Penn State than it does about the Bulldogs.
Texas A&M has had a nightmarish couple of weeks and still finds itself a 60-percent favorite to beat Louisville.
Even Florida, which has endured a handful of departures, injuries and suspensions and has simply been unable to move the football during the second half of the season, is a slight favorite against Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines.
