ESPN issued its Week 3 SEC power rankings on Monday evening.
There wasn’t any significant change at the top, as Alabama remained No. 1 and Georgia remained No. 2.
But beyond the top two spots, there was quite a bit of change. Mississippi State shot all the way up from No. 9 to No. 3 after clobbering LSU at home. The Tigers, meanwhile, plummeted from third to seventh.
Vanderbilt made the biggest climb to No. 4 after knocking off Kansas State. The Commodores were ranked 13th by ESPN a week ago.
South Carolina took a huge fall — from No. 5 to No. 12 — after losing to Kentucky.
Here are the full rankings, which will certainly be shaken up once again after this weekend:
1. Alabama (3-0)
2. Georgia (3-0)
3. Mississippi State (3-0)
4. Vanderbilt (3-0)
5. Auburn (2-1)
6. Florida (1-1)
7. LSU (2-1)
8. Kentucky (3-0)
9. Tennessee (2-1)
10. Arkansas (1-1)
11. Texas A&M (2-1)
12. South Carolina (2-1)
13. Ole Miss (2-1)
14. Missouri (1-2)
