Big changes are happening at ESPN. It was recently reported that the Worldwide Leader would be laying off hundreds of workers. Now, it is also being reported by Andrew Marchand of the New York Post that Connor Schell is leaving the network on his own accord.

While most viewers won’t know Schell’s name, they will recognize the popular content he has helped produce.

“Connor Schell, the No. 2 exec at ESPN and the head of content, is leaving the company at the end of the year, The Post has learned. Schell, who was a Last Dance producer, is exiting on his own accord as he plans to start his own production company,” Marchand tweeted.

“Schell also is one of the people behind 30-for-30,” he added in another tweet.

With the noted popularity of “The Last Dance” and the “30 for 30” series, it’s likely sports fans will still be viewing Schell productions, just not at ESPN.
