ESPN sideline reporter announces she’s leaving company over vaccine requirement

Allison Williams has found herself in a public position about her personal feelings toward the COVID-19 vaccine, and a requirement by ESPN. Now she has elected to make a move to leave the company over that requirement.
The sideline reporter shared the news on Instagram in a 5:19 video, and said that she was denied her request for accommodation. Williams said the separation move is effective next week.
“In addition to the medical apprehensions regarding my desire to have another child in regards to receiving this injection, I am also so morally and ethically not aligned with this,” she said. “And I’ve had to really dig deep and analyze my values and my morals, and ultimately I need to put them first.”
On the post, Williams wrote, “I tried, unsuccessfully, to keep this brief and not get emotional.
Whether you agree or disagree with me, thanks for listening. I will not echo or harbor the hostility that some may feel toward my decision. Doing everything I can to move forward and stay positive.”
About a month ago, Williams announced that she would not cover games this fall because she and her husband are trying to have a second child, and she was against receiving the vaccine.
