It was a successful evening for ESPN’s flagship college football show Tuesday as College GameDay won multiple Sports Emmy awards. Not only did the show win but the program’s most recognizable face was also honored.
The Sports Emmys are annually held to recognize and honor the best in sports television, on both a production and individual basis.
This year, College GameDay walks away with three awards, not including Kirk Herbstreit’s individual honor. GameDay won Outstanding Studio Show Weekly for the fifth consecutive year and eighth year total, Outstanding Short Feature, and Outstanding Tech Team Studio. Herbstreit won Outstanding Event Analyst, his third such honor.
The show has now won 10 Sports Emmys all-time.
