David Pollack’s pick for the Rose Bowl likely will not sit well with Bulldogs fans.

The former All-American defender at Georgia and current analyst for ESPN joined Atlanta’s 92.9 The Game to breakdown Georgia’s Rose Bowl matchup Wednesday morning. When it is all said and done, Pollack went against the Bulldogs and picked the Oklahoma Sooners to advance to the national championship.

Pollack pointed to the strong Sooners offense and said he leans towards siding with the best player in the nation, Baker Mayfield, in the matchup.

The Game tweeted out Pollack’s comments on the Rose Bowl:

Georgia does boast one of the best defenses in the country, but the Bulldogs have yet to face an offense or QB like the Sooners and Mayfield. Oklahoma has scored more than 40 points nine times this season and 50 points or more four times.

The best shot for Georgia in this game will likely be to try and dominate time of possession while controlling the game with a running attack that features Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and D’Andre Swift. The Bulldogs defense is talented, but keeping Mayfield in check all game long will be a tough challenge.
