The 2018 season continues on Saturday, when all 14 SEC teams will be in action on the same day for the first time this year.
ESPN’s Football Power Index has predicted all of the Week 2 matchups, and it gives quite a few of the SEC schools a strong chance of winning this week.
FPI is defined by ESPN as “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season.”
Here is the percent chance that ESPN’s FPI gives each SEC team to win this Saturday (ranked highest to lowest):
Auburn (vs. Alabama State) — 100.0
Tennessee (vs. East Tennessee State) — 99.4
LSU (vs. Southeastern Louisiana) — 98.8
Alabama (vs. Arkansas State) — 98.6
Ole Miss (vs. Southern Illinois) — 95.5
Missouri (vs. Wyoming) — 90.7
