The SEC West is a 3-team race, as Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU all have a very good chance of representing the West in the SEC Championship Game. Alabama is currently undefeated in the SEC, while Ole Miss and LSU each have one conference loss. Ole Miss’ loss was to Alabama, while LSU lost to Ole Miss.

The Crimson Tide and Tigers will play next weekend in Tuscaloosa at 7:45 pm ET, and the game will be on CBS.

Before that, the ESPN FPI came out to take a look at where the team’s stack up against each other. Alabama appears to be in the driver’s seat in the SEC West, as it’s favored in the 3 remaining conference games. In the showdown with LSU next weekend, the Crimson Tide have a 62% chance of winning the game. Their remaining 2 conference games are at Kentucky and at Auburn, where they have an 88% and and 85 % chance of winning.

LSU has only a 38% chance to win the game next weekend, but will be heavy favorites against Florida and Texas A&M (88% and 72%).

Ole Miss is the team in the toughest spot. They have Texas A&M (63%) and at Mississippi State on the schedule (79%), but in the middle of those two games is a game at No. 1 Georgia. The FPI gives Ole Miss only a 31% chance of winning that game.

The SEC West is wide open still, but we will know a lot more after the showdown in Tuscaloosa next weekend.
