ESPN’s FPI predicts outcome of every remaining game on LSU’s 2025 schedule
ESPN’s Football Power Index has updated its projections for the remainder of LSU‘s season.
The Tigers are off to a 4-0 start having already defeated Clemson and Florida on the young season. Ahead of LSU’s high-profile matchup with Ole Miss, here’s FPI’s updated win probabilities for LSU in each of its remaining contests:
- Sept. 27 @ No. 13 Ole Miss — 26.7%
- Oct. 11 vs South Carolina — 74.4%
- Oct. 18 @ No. 18 Vanderbilt — 34.7%
- Oct. 25 vs Texas A&M — 51.9%
- Nov. 8 @ No. 17 Alabama — 23.2%
- Nov. 15 vs Arkansas — 59.5%
- Nov. 22 vs Western Kentucky — 96.2%
- Nov. 29 @ No. 7 Oklahoma — 38.7%
FPI has the Tigers currently projected to be underdogs in four of its remaining games, including, surprisingly, its trip to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Oct. 18. LSU has not lost to the Commodores since 1990.

FPI is currently projecting LSU to win 8.1 games during the regular season. It gives the Tigers a 1.5% chance to win the SEC Championship and a 31% chance to reach the College Football Playoff.
Perhaps those projections will improve if LSU is able to pull off the upset and beat Ole Miss in Oxford on Saturday. Kickoff for that game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
