ESPN’s Football Power Index has released its prediction for Georgia-Auburn in Week 5.

The Bulldogs enter this matchup with an undefeated record. Georgia is coming off of a 49-21 win over UAB last weekend. On the other side, Auburn is 3-1 this season but is coming off of its first loss of the season. The Tigers fell 27-10 at Texas A&M in Week 4.

ESPN’s FPI believes the Bulldogs should be big favorites this weekend. The model gives Georgia an 81.9% chance to win on the road against the Tigers.

Georgia has won 6 straight games in this rivalry series. The Bulldogs’ last loss to Auburn came back in 2017 when Gus Malzahn was Auburn’s head coach.

This will be Hugh Freeze’s first game in this rivalry. The 2017 game is Kirby Smart’s lone loss to Auburn as UGA’s head coach.

Georgia is 63-56-8 all-time against Auburn. It will be looking to extend that streak on Saturday.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
