ESPN’s FPI is predicting an upset in a Week 10 SEC matchup.
As Kentucky goes on the road to take on Mississippi State, ESPN’s Football Power Index is favoring the Bulldogs.
The Wildcats are coming off 3-straight losses to a handful of the top teams in the SEC, and they are looking to get back on track against a team that has struggled this season.
Mississippi State has notched just one SEC win this season against Arkansas, but the Bulldogs are looking to get a big win that could change the trajectory of their season.
ESPN’s FPI gives Mississippi State a slight edge in the matchup, giving the Bulldogs a 54% chance to win the game. FPI predicting an upset could have to do with the fact that the Bulldogs have homefield advantage. If Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers is able to return from a shoulder injury for the game, that would also have a major impact on the Bulldogs’ chances.
But Kentucky will be bringing its A-game as it hopes to reroute its season after the losing streak. The Wildcats will need a big one, as they’ll have to face Alabama next week.
