Auburn and Mississippi State will battle it out this Saturday as 2 struggling teams look to make a late season push.

The Tigers come into the game on a 4-game losing streak, but they are through their toughest stretch of the season and are looking to turn things around. A win for Auburn would be huge as it needs to win at least 3 of its final 5 games in order to the meet bowl eligibility threshold of 6 wins.

For the Bulldogs, they are coming into the game off of an ugly 7-3 win over Arkansas last week. They are also looking for a big win to get them closer to bowl eligibility, and they have a handful of tough games left on the schedule.

Ahead of the game, ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) made its prediction for the matchup. FPI gives Auburn the edge in this one, giving the Tigers a 62.7% chance to win the matchup.

Auburn has home-field advantage against Mississippi State, and the Tigers have played significantly better at Jordan-Hare Stadium this season. Last week, they were within a touchdown of Ole Miss at home. A few weeks ago, they took Georgia down to the wire in front of an Auburn crowd.

The game between Mississippi State and Auburn will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
