With only 3 regular-season Saturdays to go, we’re on bowl watch in the SEC.
Auburn and Texas A&M are both in must-win situations to go bowling. The loser will drop to 3-7 with 2 games left and not be able to reach 6 wins in the regular season. Vanderbilt is also 3-6 heading into its game with Kentucky.
Florida and Arkansas can each secure bowl eligibility with wins on Saturday. Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Kentucky and South Carolina have already won at least 6 games.
In Week 11, all 14 SEC teams are in action facing conference opponents. The “SEC Nation” crew is in Oxford for No. 9 Alabama at No. 11 Ole Miss, the 3:30 p.m. ET “SEC on CBS” showcase game.
ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) is a simulation-based computer model that projects the outcome of every game. Here are the FPI’s picks for the Saturday SEC slate:
- Tennessee (92.8% chance to win) vs. Missouri
- LSU (72.5% chance to win) at Arkansas
- Kentucky (88.4% chance to win) vs. Vanderbilt
- Alabama (75.3% chance to win) at Ole Miss
- Florida (70.8% chance to win) vs. South Carolina
- Georgia (84.7% chance to win) at Mississippi State
- Auburn (51.9% chance to win) vs. Texas A&M
It wouldn’t be an SEC Saturday without a few upsets. We’ll see how the FPI predictions fare against the results on the field.
