ESPN’s FPI updates projections for every remaining game on LSU’s schedule
We’re 5 weeks into the 2025 college football season, and LSU‘s offense… *looks around* wait, where did it go?
The Tigers have yet to score more than 23 points versus an FBS opponent this season. They scored 19 points last Saturday against Ole Miss. Yes, their defense is good, but when you go 2-for-11 (18.2%) on 3rd down and post only 254 total yards of offense, you’re not going to win in the modern SEC very often.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, Brian Kelly should be the victor in 4 of the final 7 games on his 2025 schedule. If he wins more than that and sneaks into the College Football Playoff, maybe he’ll be back in Baton Rouge for the 2026 season.
Here are the updated win probabilities:
- Oct. 11 vs. South Carolina – 70.2% chance to win
- Oct. 18 at No. 16 Vanderbilt – 34.9%
- Oct. 25 vs. No. 6 Texas A&M – 53.2%
- Nov. 8 at No. 10 Alabama – 22.0%
- Nov. 15 vs. Arkansas – 74.4%
- Nov. 22 vs. Western Kentucky – 95.9%
- Nov. 29 at No. 5 Oklahoma – 38.9%
The Tigers and Gamecocks will kick off at night in Week 7, but an official time and TV designation have not yet been declared.
