Derrick Henry has been on a tear this season for the Tennessee Titans. The former Alabama running back is averaging 130.5 yards rushing per game, with 783 yards rushing on the year and 10 touchdowns.

Michael Wilbon stated on ‘Pardon the Interruption’ on ESPN on Tuesday that Henry reminds him of another former SEC running back.

Wilbon went on to say that Derrick Henry reminds him of Emmitt Smith, who played his college days at the University of Florida from 1987 to 1989. He also spent his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals, becoming one of the best NFL running backs ever:

“Is he the best running back in the NFL since Emmitt Smith?” asked Wilbon. “I know I’m skipping over a lot of great people, but I’m not really skipping. He received some blows last night that remind you why running backs can’t last forever. How long can he go like this? He could be the MVP of the league as far as I’m concerned.”

Can Henry keep up his production down the stretch?
