ESPN’s SP+ predicts final score of Alabama vs. ULM in Week 2
Just one week into the college football season, the tension in Tuscaloosa is thick with disappointment following Alabama‘s unexpected 31-17 defeat to Florida State.
As the Crimson Tide prepare for week 2 at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama is eager to restore morale on the field. Despite last week’s setback, ESPN’s SP+ projections favor the tide to bounce back against Louisiana Monroe with a 41-10 victory.
Alabama holds a strong lead in the series against UL-Monroe, with a 3-1 over four meetings. The last encounter in 2022 saw the Tide deliver 63-7 blowout victory. However, fans will remember that fateful 2007 match up when the Warhawks shocked the Tide defeating them 21-14 during Nick Saban’s inaugural season as head coach.
Coming into this game, the Warhawks had a solid performance in Week 1 as they shoutout St. Francis 29-0. UL-Monroe quarterback Aidan Armenta led his team with the respectable showing of 95 yards on 13 pass attempts to go with one touchdown and one interception.
Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. ET from Tuscaloosa.
