ESPN’s SP+ has predicted the final score of Ole Miss‘s home SEC showdown game against LSU on Saturday afternoon in Oxford.

The matchup of 4-0 teams will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, with No. 13 Ole Miss trying to get to 3-0 in the SEC and No. 4 LSU looking for a 2-0 start in conference play.

ESPN’s SP+ is now available for all the Week 5 matchups and that model is projecting the Rebels to take care of business at home with a 29-23 victory on the national TV stage.

Here’s that SEC prediction along with the rest of the Week 5 slate:

LSU and Ole Miss have a special kind of Southern football rivalry, and it’s called the Magnolia Bowl. The Tigers lead the all-time series 64-42-4, with the first meeting between the SEC rivals coming way back in 1894. That first meeting was won by Ole Miss, 26-6.

Last fall’s matchup in Baton Rouge was an instant classic, with LSU prevailing at home in overtime, 29-26. So, not only will Ole Miss be trying to stay undefeated on Saturday, at home and on national TV, it will be trying to avenge last October’s stunning defeat in Death Valley.

LSU has owned the series of late, too, winning 7 of the past 9 meetings going into the latest edition of the Magnolia Bowl.
