Believe it or not, Week 4 of the 2025 college football season has already arrived, and one of the more intriguing matchups of this Saturday’s slate is the one between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Memphis Tigers.

The two programs are set to meet for the first time since the 1998 season, and the Razorbacks will surprisingly be the ones hitting the road as they will travel to the iconic Liberty Bowl to face off against their Group of 5 foes.

ESPN analyst Bill Connolley’s SP+ also just dropped an even bigger surprise for this matchup, as it actually projects that the Tigers will come out on top of the Razorbacks by a final score of 31-30, which would be a pretty shocking upset for everyone in and around the Arkansas program.

The SP+ is a projection tool that uses several different stats and historical trends to both craft power rankings for ESPN and project the outcome of any given game each week.

Connolley’s projection for this clash actually goes against the grain in terms of where Vegas currently has this matchup marked, as the Hogs are a 6.5-point favorite as of this writing, according to odds makers.

Should the Tigers actually pull out the upset win, then things are sure to get very interesting over in Fayetteville as they head into the bulk of their in-conference schedule during October.
