ESPN’s updated top 25 rankings feature 4 SEC teams, 3 in the top 10

The SEC season is drawing toward its conclusion, with 2 weeks of games left on the schedule for teams not named Kentucky and South Carolina (as both of those teams completed their 10-game schedules on time.
The SEC Championship Game is slated for Saturday, Dec. 19, so there are games next weekend and the 19th. Then, it’s time for postseason preparations.
On Sunday, after the conclusion of the SEC’s Week 11 action, ESPN’s Andrea Adelson ranked the top 25 teams in the country. As you can see below, she has 4 SEC teams included:
- No. 1 — Alabama
- No. 5 — Texas A&M
- No. 6 — Florida
- No. 13 — Georgia
The SEC has been top-heavy all year. The next team that would probably merit consideration to be ranked is 5-3 Mizzou.
We’ll see what happens when the next College Football Playoff rankings come out on Tuesday night.
