
Ole Miss TE Evan Engram goes earlier than expected in NFL Draft

Evan Engram didn’t draw a lot of pre-draft publicity, but the New York Giants saw something they liked.
Thursday, they selected the Ole Miss tight end with the No. 23 overall pick in the NFL Draft. He’ll team with former Ole Miss star Eli Manning.

Engram finished fifth in the SEC with 926 receiving yards this season. He led all SEC tight ends with eight touchdown catches.
He was the second SEC tight end selected in the first round Thursday, and the seventh in league history.
