Evan Neal was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, going to the New York Giants.

As a rookie, he’ll be expected to anchor the right side of the Giants’ offensive line, with former Georgia Bulldog Andrew Thomas lining up opposite him at left tackle.

The early returns are positive. During a team scrimmage on Saturday, Neal was impressive. As you can see below, Neal drove a defender from the 9-yard line all the way into the end zone on one running play:

At 6-7 and weighing over 300 pounds, Neal already has an NFL body. If he is comfortable with the Giants’ schemes from Week 1, he can have a special rookie season.

We’ll see how he looks when the Giants kick off their preseason schedule this coming week.
