Evan Neal, possible No. 1 overall pick, makes decision about NFL Scouting Combine workout, per report

Evan Neal, the Alabama offensive tackle, a potential top overall pick for the NFL Draft, will wait until his Pro Day on March 30 to work out, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported.
He’ll participate in interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine, but after a long season, he’ll take a few extra weeks to prepare.
Neal, a 6-foot-7, 350-pound left tackle, started 40 games in 3 seasons, as he played left guard in 2019 and right tackle in 2020 before moving to left tackle as a junior. He started 13 games at left guard in 2019, 12 games at right tackle in 2020 and 15 games at left tackle in 2021.
Neal was selected as a permanent team captain in 2021. He was a consensus first-team All-American and earned second-team AP All-America honors.

Neal anchored an Alabama offensive front that paved the way for the nation’s No. 6 scoring offense (39.9 ppg), No. 7 passing offense (338.2 ypg) and pass efficiency offense (166.5), the No. 3 unit in third-down conversion percentage (52.0) and the No. 5 red zone offense (.926). Neal also accounted for a team-high 34 knockdown blocks.
