The NFL Draft continued into the 3rd round on Friday night, and the SEC was well represented as the league produced 14 draft picks in that round alone.
The teams with the most picks in the 3rd round were Alabama with 4, Tennessee with 3 and 2 from Arkansas.
Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker is likely the most talked about pick in part because of the idea that he was thought to have a chance to be picked in the first round. Hooker, who tore the ACL in his left knee in November, will backup veteran Jared Goff as the team gives his knee time to recover and offer a smooth transition to be the franchise’s future quarterback.
Third round picks:
1. Zacch Pickens, DT, South Carolina, Chicago Bears
2. Tyler Steen, OT, Alabama, Philadelphia Eagles
4. Drew Sanders, ILB, Arkansas, Denver Broncos
5. Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee, Detroit Lions
7. Byron Young, DT, Alabama, Las Vegas Raiders
10. Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee, New York Giants
11. Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee, Cleveland Browns
14. Byron Young, DE, Tennessee, Los Angeles Rams
21. Devon Achane, RB, Texas A&M, Miami Dolphins
25. Tank Bigsby, RB, Auburn, Jacksonville Jaguars
