College football fans are always eager to learn how coaches and media members rank the top 25 teams. Out in Las Vegas, oddsmakers have power rankings for all 133 FBS teams.

College football guru Phil Steele maintains connections to the smartest folks in the desert. Steele has published weekly in-season Vegas Power Ratings since his time at ESPN. He’s now independent but continues to publish the Vegas Power Ratings, with weekly updates on his own website during the season.

Like the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll, Georgia has the top number in Steele’s Vegas Power Ratings. Steele notes that the difference in 2 teams’ Vegas Ratings gives an idea of what the opening betting line would be if they met on a neutral field.

Alabama, the second-highest SEC team, would be a roughly 7-point underdog against the Bulldogs. UGA would likely be a 4-point favorite against No. 2 Florida State (133.99 Vegas Rating).

Here’s where the 14 SEC teams stand heading into Saturday’s Week 3 slate:

  • No. 1 Georgia (137.89 Vegas Rating)
  • No. 7 Alabama (131.12)
  • No. 9 LSU (128.52)
  • No. 14 Tennessee (124.76)
  • No. 16 Ole Miss (123.26)
  • No. 19 Texas A&M (121.88)
  • No. 28 Auburn (116.86)
  • No. 32 Kentucky (116.12)
  • No. 33 Arkansas (116.05)
  • No. 38 South Carolina (114.58)
  • No. 43 Florida (113.91)
  • No. 45 Mississippi State (113.21)
  • No. 48 Missouri (112.66)
  • No. 85 Vanderbilt (102.54)
