South Carolina won its 4th game of the season against Vanderbilt on Saturday 46-7.

The Gamecocks are one step closer to Beamer’s 3rd bowl game appearance.

Beamer opened the presser by thanking all the men and women who have served in the military with Veterans Day being on everyone’s mind.

Trey Knox didn’t play in the game and Beamer explained why that was. Beamer said that there was no need to do so with how well Joshua Simon has played as of late. If South Carolina used Knox, it would have been in the red zone.

Dakereon Joyner was listed as doubtful going into the next game for South Carolina. Beamer didn’t rule out Joyner potentially playing next week.

Beamer noted that Xavier Legette deserved a game ball. Legette became the 5th South Carolina wideout to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving in a season since Pharoh Cooper in 2014.

Lastly, Beamer emphasized the importance of Bam Martin-Scott in the game. Martin had 13 total tackles and 1 sack. Beamer said that after the Missouri game, he knew South Carolina needed its best athletes on the field to affect the quarterback.

Here’s some of Beamer’s comments from the presser:
