One of the wildest and gutsiest finishes of the college football season took place Thursday night.

Former LSU quarterback Justin McMillan helped Tulane beat Houston 38-31, and how it happened is what everyone’s talking about.

With the game tied 31-31 with 21 seconds remaining, Tulane looked like it would play for overtime. Instead, the Green Wave ran a fake quarterback kneel to setup a game-winning attempt.

The very next play, the ex-LSU signal caller McMillan hit wide receiver Jalen McCleskey on a 53-yard game-winning touchdown pass that left just three seconds on the clock.

Since McMillan took over the Tulane starting quarterback job, the Green Wave is 8-2. McMillan finished just 7-of-20 for 186 yards, but he threw three touchdown passes and ran for another one.

Tulane improved to 3-1, while Houston fell to 1-3.
