A former 4-star recruit for LSU out of Amite, Louisiana is moving on, but he’s staying in-state for his next destination.
The player is Devonta Lee, a wide receiver out of the class of 2019. He had 2 catches for 27 yards as a true freshman in 2019. Lee did not record any statistics during 2020, but he had 9 catches for 85 yards and scored a touchdown vs. Central Michigan.
On Saturday, Lee announced his commitment to transfer to Louisiana Tech:

LSU’s wide receiver room has seen a bit of turnover with former WRs coach Mickey Joseph leaving for Nebraska and the staff of head coach Scott Frost. Former Tiger Trey Palmer also followed Joseph by transferring to the Huskers following the season.
A big-time recruit out of high school, things just never came together for Lee in Baton Rouge. Best of luck as he continues his college career at Louisiana Tech.
