Falcons wideout Julio Jones was inactive in the Falcons’ 26-18 loss to the Saints on Thanksgiving Day, and now questions about the former Alabama star’s status for the rest of the season have surfaced as the loss dropped Atlanta to 3-9 on the season.

Although Jones was held out with a nagging injury, the question on his status is more due to the state of the Falcons’ season, as head coach Dan Quinn was asked about quarterback Matt Ryan as well.

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, Quinn has not considered pulling either player for the remaining four game stretch.

“I recognize fair question, but no,” said Quinn. “Part of playing and competing is going for it in the biggest way, so we’ll always take that approach.

“Now for a player that is injured like Julio, but not just for him, for any of the players, to make sure, we’re always gonna make the best decisions for them.”

The Falcons’ playoff hopes are long gone, and McClure notes that Ryan has taken 15 sacks over the last two games, however it seems as though Quinn wants to end the season at full-strength. It remains to be seen what Jones’ injury status will be in Week 14.

Atlanta still has contests against the Panthers, 49ers, Jaguars, and Buccaneers remaining.
