Family of Michigan player attacked in tunnel by Michigan State players plans to press charges

Things got heated and quickly turned ugly in the tunnel during the rivalry game between Michigan and Michigan State.
The father of Gemon Green, the Michigan player who was struck with a helmet, recently spoke out. According to a report from Tom VanHaaren of ESPN, the family is planning to press charges and take legal action on those involved.
He also says that Green was struck with a helmet in the face, back and shoulder.

Following the incident when it originally occurred, Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh made clear that some type of legal action would be pursued.

The campus police at Michigan released a statement on the investigation over the weekend.
“University of Michigan Police, in partnership with MSU Police, Michigan athletics and the Michigan football team, is actively reviewing footage and investigating the post-game incident,” University of Michigan Deputy Chief of Police Melissa Overton said. “Situations like these, and the safety of the community, are taken very seriously.”
