There was big news in the college football world on Friday morning, as former 5-star Georgia QB Justin Fields reportedly decided to transfer to Ohio State.
That led to a number of reactions, ranging from complaints about the NCAA transfer rules to a looming battle for the starting job with Tate Martell to funny Urban Meyer takes.

The NCAA waiver system opened the door for kids who have the means to afford a smart lawyer to find loopholes. So the question you have to ask is, why put all these resources into such a meaningless bureaucracy? Just let kids move as they please.

Whether or not Fields has to sit out for the 2019 season remains to be seen, but for now, he’s reportedly on Ohio State’s campus and ready to get to work.
