The Kentucky Wildcats were hoping to enter SEC play on a high note by beating rival Louisville in Louisville on Saturday afternoon.

Instead, an awful start to the season continues for coach John Calipari’s squad as the Wildcats fell to the rival Cardinals 62-59. Trailing 60-59 late, big man Olivier Sarr once again got a jump shot for the win, but it didn’t go through the net.

Let’s just say fans aren’t thrilled with Kentucky’s 1-6 start to the season. Here was some of the reaction from fans and media members in the immediate wake of Saturday’s loss:

Kentucky is slated to open SEC play with a road trip to Mississippi State on Jan. 2. The Wildcats were supposed to start the SEC schedule on Dec. 29 against South Carolina, but the Gamecocks won’t be ready due to COVID-19 issues.

Can the Wildcats get back in the win column against the Bulldogs and leave their woes in 2020?
