The Florida Gators lost more than just a game to Kentucky Saturday night.

Chad Wilson, the father of Florida DB Marco Wilson, said on Twitter his son suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. Wilson left the game on the opening defensive series of the game with an injury and never returned.

It appeared that Wilson’s knee buckled while being blocked by Kentucky WR Dorian Baker.

The Gators made it through the season opener against Charleston Southern relatively injury free, but that wasn’t the case Saturday night. Losing Wilson for the season would be a massive blow.

Wilson missed some of his junior season in high school due to an ACL injury, too.

Trey Dean should be the DB who gets the most playing time in Wilson’s absence.
