FBS team has shipping issue with uniforms, leading to change ahead of Week 1 game
The Arizona Wildcats are gearing up for their home opener against the New Mexico Lobos.
The Lobos have already played one game, losing a heartbreaker to Montana State in Week 0. This will be the first game, however, for the Wildcats and new head coach Brent Brennan.
Ahead of the matchup, it was announced that New Mexico had a “shipping issue” with its white uniforms, and would be unable to wear them for the game. Typically, road teams will wear white and the home team will wear a solid color. However, due to the shipping issues, the Wildcats will wear all-white uniforms instead.
A spokesperson from New Mexico athletics told me there was a shipping issue with its white uniforms. They have the same unis as last year, but they needed to get resized and some of them didn’t make it to Albuquerque in time.
Solution: Arizona goes all white for the white out.

Apparently there was a shipping issue with New Mexico’s white uniforms. So Arizona has switched to all white. Which is all good. It’s as clean a look as you’ll find.

This works out perfectly for the Wildcats who were already planning a white-out game for the fans. Now, the players will join the fans in wearing all-white for the home opener.
The Wildcats will be looking to start off the new regime with a win, while the Lobos are looking to avenge a loss to an FCS opponent last week.
