FCS quarterback Dakota Prukop chooses to transfer to Oregon over Alabama
Dakota Prukop won’t be taking his talents to Tuscaloosa.
Instead, one of the top players at the FCS level this season will be headed to Eugene.
Prukop had reportedly gotten scholarship offers from Oregon, Michigan and Texas but had also gotten strong interest from Alabama. However, the Montana State QB, who is widely compared to Vernon Adams, will enroll with the Ducks, according to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior ranks in the top 10 in the FCS in many areas, including passing yards per game (275), passing TDs (28) and passing efficiency (157.7). He also ran for 797 yards and 11 TDs.
Prukop made last-minute official visits to both schools over the weekend before deciding to play on the west coast.
He will be eligible to play immediately due to NCAA graduate transfer rules.
With Jake Coker gone after this season, Alabama still has five quarterbacks on the roster: Senior Alec Morris, junior Cooper Bateman, sophomore David Cornwell, redshirt freshman Blake Barnett and true freshman Jalen Hurts.
