Welcome Home: South Carolina’s recruiting momentum continues with commitment of Georgia lineman Felix Hixon

The Gamecocks aren’t slowing down on the recruiting trail.
Despite the fact it’s currently a holiday weekend, the Gamecocks efforts on the recruiting trail continue in full force as Shane Beamer’s program has just picked up a new commitment.
The latest pledge to the Gamecock program comes from Jackson, Ga., defensive lineman Felix Hixon. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Hixon is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 84 defensive lineman in the country for the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Hixon announced his commitment to South Carolina after taking visits to Columbia, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Virginia and Illinois during the month of June.
South Carolina now has 15 commitments in the 2022 recruiting cycle and the class ranks No. 16 nationally with the addition of Hixon to the class.
