The four teams predicted to reach the College Football Playoff didn’t change on Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight web site remained the same following Week 5 action that saw Ohio State’s impressive win at Nebraska, and Clemson’s narrow escape at North Carolina.

Through Week 5, the top teams are Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama and Oklahoma, while Georgia and LSU round out the top six.

Through Week 4, the top teams were Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma, with Georgia and LSU immediately outside the hypothetical Playoff bracket. Wisconsin, Auburn, Notre Dame and Oregon rounded out the top 10 then.

Two weeks ago, Silver listed the top four teams for the CFP as Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

The current top 10 ends with Auburn at No. 7, then Wisconsin, Penn State and Notre Dame.

Alabama’s chances to win the SEC are at 36 percent, which is up 1 percent from a week ago. Georgia stands at 26 percent, which is down 3 percent from last week. LSU is at 14 percent to win the SEC, and Auburn is at 12 percent.

To win the national championship, Alabama has an 18 percent chance, Georgia is at 9 percent, LSU 5 percent and Auburn 4 percent. All of those plummeted from a week ago when it was Alabama at 45 percent, LSU was listed at 38 percent, Georgia 35 percent and Auburn at 23 percent.
