Florida Gators junior center Gorjok Gak missed all of last season, and after this week, he is facing more time on the sidelines.

The Gators announced Thursday that Gak suffered a dislocated shoulder during Tuesday’s practice. He will be out indefinitely.

“I feel horrible for him,” head coach Mike White told Floridagators.com. “Gorjok was playing his [best] basketball since he’s been here.”

Gak sat out all of the 2018-19 season because of a knee injury. In his first two seasons with the Gators, he averaged 2.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 7.7 minutes per game.

Obviously, Gak hasn’t filled the stat sheet in his first two seasons, but the Gators were counting on his size in the frontcourt last year and were definitely looking forward to his return this season.

Florida will play its first exhibition game of the season against Lynn University on Oct. 29 at 7 pm ET. The Gators open the regular season at home against North Florida on Nov. 5.
