Florida coach Jim McElwain is doing his best to push the program to upgrade facilities. An example of that will come on Tuesday from the Gators’ Pro Day inside their new $17 million indoor facility.

According to 247Sports’ Thomas Goldkamp, McElwain said on Monday there’s more on the horizon.

The Gators’ dorms will be updated this summer, while many other current facilities in The Swamp’s south end zone are also getting attention for possible renovations.

“Everything, locker rooms, training rooms, meeting rooms, you name it,” McElwain said. “We have a long ways to go.”

Florida had gotten some criticism in recent years lagging behind its SEC competition in the facilities arms race. The Gators’ indoor facility was long overdue as Mississippi State (more than 50 yards) and Missouri (90 yards) are the only SEC schools that don’t have a full-length indoor practice field either already built or under construction.
