Florida DB McArthur Burnett announces he’s transferring

Florida rising redshirt sophomore McArthur Burnett announced Thursday evening that he was transferring from the university.

Burnett signed with the Gators in the class of 2016, and he redshirted his first season. He played sparingly in six games as a reserve DB and on special teams in 2017.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Pahokee native was a 3-star prospect exiting high school. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 13 all-purpose back and the state’s No. 64 overall player in the class of 2016, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
