Florida defensive lineman Tyreak Sapp says the Gator defense needs to create more sacks to improve.
Sapp went on coach Billy Napier’s radio show Thursday night ahead of Florida’s Week 2 matchup with McNeese. Florida heads back to Gainesville in Week 2 after losing 24-11 to No. 12 Utah in the season opener.
Sapp stated that the defense needs to rush the quarterback and try to get some more sacks against McNeese State.
“Just rush the Q better, rush the Q, try to get some sacks,” said Sapp.
Asked what #Gators D needs to improve on against McNeese, Tyreak Sapp said, ‘Just rush the Q better, rush the Q, try to get some sacks.’

Sapp was also asked about how he’s dealt with the outside criticism of Florida so far. Sapp stated that he loves the criticism and takes pride in going to work everyday.
“I love it. I love it. Bring it on,” said Sapp. “I just take pride in going to work every day.”
