Florida hits historic lows in terrible half against Samford

Florida is hosting FCS foe Samford in The Swamp on Saturday afternoon in what should have been an easy win for Dan Mullen’s squad.

It has been anything but that, as the visiting Bulldogs actually lead the Gators 42-35 at halftime.

This has been a disaster of epic proportions for the Gators, and it has reached historic lows for Florida. For starters, this is the most points Florida has ever allowed against an FCS program:

You think that’s bad? It gets even worse. This is the first time in the history of the Florida program that the Gators have allowed 42 points in a single half:

Even if the Gators manage to turn things around in the second half, it won’t do much to quiet the critics. We’ll see what happens in the aftermath of this awful showing for Florida.
