The Florida Gators added a big piece to their 2017 recruiting class on Saturday evening.
Zechariah Byrd, a 6-foot-6, 235-pound Alabama native, announced his commitment on Twitter:

Byrd chose Florida over Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn and Ole Miss, among other schools.
According to 247Sports, Byrd is the No. 31 tight end in the class of 2017 and the No. 36 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
