Florida lands 2020 4-star DT Gervon Dexter, 2nd commitment of night

Despite a 38-17 loss on the field to Missouri, homecoming weekend has proved productive for Florida on the recruiting trail.

Lake Wales (Fla.) DT Gervon Dexter became Florida’s second commitment of the night on Saturday when he announced his pledge to the Gators.

While he does not yet have a multi-service composite ranking, 247Sports rates Dexter the No. 4 defensive tackle, No. 13 Florida product and No. 80 recruit overall nationally in the class of 2020.

Dexter, listed at 6-6, 260 pounds, made his announcement via his Twitter account. He included a note and a graphic in a tweet stating he was “100% committed.”
