Things appear to be heating up on the recruiting trail for the Florida Gators. After local QB Anthony Richardson committed to the Gators (for a second time) Saturday, 4-star Missouri City, Texas, CB Avery Helm announced his pledge to UF Sunday.

A Fort Bend Marshall product listed at 6-2, 170 pounds, Helm is rated the No. 26 cornerback, No. 49 Texas product and No. 304 prospect overall in the 2020 class on the 247Sports Composite. Helm has 23 scholarship offers at this time, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Helm is commitment No. 9 in Florida’s 2020 class, which moved to No. 5 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC Saturday after Richardson’s re-commitment.
