Florida is looking to improve its 2026 recruiting class as we hit the heart of summer, and the Gators landed an in-state piece on Monday.
The commitment comes from Javarii Luckas, a massive offensive tackle out of Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida. Luckas is listed at 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds and spent most of the 2024 season at right tackle for Glades Central.
He received offers from multiple in-state programs, including Miami, FAU, FIU and USF, to go with the Florida offer. He also held offers from Penn State and Western Kentucky before eventually committing to Billy Napier and the Gators.

Luckas has gone unrated by the composite, but he’s a 3-star OT, according to 247 Sports. He rates as the 97th overall OT prospect in the country and the 121st overall player from Florida for the cycle.
So far, Florida holds the 30th overall recruiting class in the country, according to the 247 Sports Composite, and Luckas’s pledge gives the Gators 11 hard commitments for the cycle. Napier has a string of 3 straight top-15 finishes on the recruiting trail, including a top-10 class last year. Hopefully, Florida can put together a strong finishing push across the summer and fall.
